Earlier this year our Creative Director Jane was invited to offer a talk as part of TEDx UoChester. Some of you may have read the blogs that contributed to the talk, but now the talk itself is available to watch on YouTube! 

As the Creative Director of Cheshire Dance, Jane champions the importance of embodied knowledge and of valuing, celebrating and amplifying the creative expression of people from underrepresented communities. 

At Cheshire Dance we believe that through movement, curiosity, and expression dance can strengthen wellbeing and connect communities. In dancing together we can hold complexity, individuality, community, discord and harmony – in a world that feels increasingly polarised. 

In the talk she’s asking what movement teaches us about ourselves and others and exploring the power of embodied knowledge, creativity, and human connection.
