Through various workshops and activities, NEXUS creates the space for young people to connect with themselves, their ideas and with others, through dance. NEXUS is a five-year programme funded by the Westminster Foundation.
Cheshire Dance has an established and growing specialism in developing dance opportunities with and for people with learning disabilities and people with Profound Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities (PIMD).
Cheshire Dance has partnered with a group of highly respected venues and dance promoters in the North West to bring about a new model for dance talent development in the region. As part of a simple 5 point Dance North West NOW Action Plan (below), the group are now fundraising to kick start actions 1 and 2 to develop unique and bespoke opportunities for North West based dance makers to create new work for stage and get it seen by audiences around the country.
At Cheshire Dance, we provide opportunities for older adults to live in the moment and to engage physically, socially and emotionally through movement and dance in community sessions across Cheshire West and Cheshire East.
Cheshire Dance works with educational settings to deliver school improvement plans and to enrich the current curriculum framework through quality dance practises that add real value.
