Cheshire Rural Touring Arts

CRTA is an organisation that tours high quality theatre, music dance and family shows to rural communities across Cheshire. CRTA runs two seasons of work per year in spring and autumn and will tour on average 19 companies giving 50 performances each season. It supports 35 venues who host this work, all venues are run by volunteer promoters from the local community.

CRTA also supports a variety of projects and initiatives which support artists in the creation of new work, support young people and families to access live arts and to bring the very best and interesting artistic work from UK and international artists to rural communities.

CRTA is one of 36 similar rural touring schemes operating nationally, all affiliated to the National Rural Touring Forum (NRTF) .

CRTA is funded and supported by the Arts Council England, Cheshire West and Chester Council and Cheshire East Council.
