The Live Well Dance project contributes to the improvement of health related quality of life by providing regular dance activities for older adults in Cheshire East and Cheshire West.

Live Well Dance welcomes older adults to enjoy fun and friendly dance classes and to explore creative movement for  a wide range of health and wellbeing benefits, including improved physical strength, balance & motor skills, spatial awareness, and mobility to help prevent falls.

Through dance, participants enjoy social interaction, a sense of belonging and a connection with the community.

The Live Well Dance project exists to improve emotional wellbeing and combat isolation through socialising and cooperating in shared endeavour, finding new and personal means of self-expression.

Regular Live Well Dance sessions are currently running in Macclesfield, and are due to commence once again in Nantwich & Crewe. Please search for ‘Live Well Dance’ in our events section for more details. Alternatively, for more info, contact: classes@cheshiredance.org or call 01606 861770.

Dance offers auditory, visual, tactile and somato-sensory stimulation, musical experience, social interaction, emotional perception and interaction, memory and motor learning.” (Scholl, 2013, p.5)
