Founder and director Carrie-Ann is a fully qualified level 3 personal trainer, level 2 gym instructor and Level 1 England Boxing Coach, with additional certification in functional training , Box in Mind ( mental health awareness ) & the ‘Mind ‘ mental health awareness in sport & exercise.

Carrie-Ann set up  ‘ Mind Body Balance Academy ‘ with one thing in mind , to work with people in the community who would benefit greatly from exercise but who face barriers to movement for different reasons , some people have anxiety / depression or other mental health issues that greatly reduces their confidence to engage in physical activity , medical studies show that movement is medicine and is good for both body and mind.

As well as making herself accessible in a more private facility to a commercial gym for 1-1 personal training ,she also offers free low impact boxing classes for people experiencing mental health issues due alcohol misuse or addiction, working closely with NHS social prescribers / Doctors surgeries, the IPC and the local Westminster Drug Project , where she visits regularly to talk about the sessions and make all feel welcome.

Carrie-Ann is passionate about fitness, knows the benefits first hand , is a competitive Masters Bikini athlete and previous aerial gymnast enthusiast with a passion for Dance. She believes all movement should be encouraged, we as a society separate physical & Mental health but the body does not.
