In 2023, Cheshire Dance has been involved in a collaboration between the award winning intergenerational Nursery in Belong run by national charity, Ready Generations and CW&C Museums.

The intergenerational Living Lives Together – Harmony Wheels Programme has been designed by Ready Generations and Cheshire Dance to provide an engaging set of imaginative provocations and invitations for all ages. Weekly sessions have involved dance and movement work using drums, scarves, role play and a range of artefacts from the Grosvenor Museum Collection.

Very young children and their grand-friends have enjoyed teaching and learning together with a range of creative outcomes for both groups. The work is part of a wider research study, led by Ready Generations and the University of Central Lancashire, exploring the impact of intergenerational approaches on the executive functioning skills and cognition of both children and elders.
