DCNW Research Programme

Deadline: 17 November  (Midnight)

DCNW invites north west dance artists and organisations to create or develop work which explores the future of dance. Regardless of your dance background, if you have a great idea, let us know.

Through commissioned Dance Labs, showcase events and sharing knowledge, Dance Consortia members want to create the future of dance with more people dancing from more backgrounds in more dance styles.

The Dance Labs, part of the commissions programme, will support artists and organisations to adapt to creative life post COVID, resolve challenges and find opportunities.

The programme invites NW-based dancers, dance creatives and organisations to create new or develop existing work, explore opportunities for research and development, collaborate with others and further dance careers and productions.

The programme will challenge inequalities and make space to share ideas, performances and knowledge with other artists, professionals and venues. The Dance Lab commissions will be open and flexible and will actively encourage dance from all sorts of practice.

We want to reach more people from more backgrounds, both professional and personal, and will support people developing a proposal or project. Please let us know if you require support throughout the proposal process.
