We’re delighted to share some exciting news!

We have successfully secured funding from the Youth Opportunities Grant, supported by Cheshire West and Chester Council, to fund our Dance Able group in Winsford.

Dance Able has been running since January 2026 and provides a welcoming, inclusive space for young people with learning disabilities to come together, dance, create, build confidence and play an active role in their community.

Our sessions take place every Wednesday, 5:30–6:30pm at Winsford Library.

This funding will help us continue providing accessible dance opportunities for learning-disabled children and young people across the local area. It will also support our brilliant learning-disabled Associate Artist, Ben Wilson, giving him the opportunity to support the sessions, share his skills and develop his teaching practice.

The Youth Opportunities Grant gives voluntary and community organisations, charities and other groups the opportunity to create positive experiences for children and young people living in the Cheshire West and Chester borough. Find out more about the Grant here.

Do get in touch if you or someone you know would like to join at classes@cheshiredance.org.
