LGA Conference - Cheshire Dance has just invaded another conference. Unbeknown to the delegates of the Local Government Association National Conference on Culture, including Sectretary of State for Culture Ed Vaisey, the conference space suddenly became awash with music and dance. The unsuspecting audience received the invasion in good grace, intrigued at what was going to happen next. The 8 minute invasion was caught on videophone and is on our artplayer.tv channel.
COLLECT: Live!, another great performance project with Cheshire Dance. This time we took on the transition of the Northwich Memorial Hall as demolition work got underway. Families and friends of participants, along with local residents and guests, all joined us as more than 50 performers came promenading through Northwich Town Centre, accompanied by live music and street cleansing vehicles, culminating both outside and then inside the Memorial Hall. This live event was part of the COLLECT: Capture project.
In THIS Moment, celebrating the youthfulness of young and older people, gets underway. In THIS Moment is an 18 month intergenerational dance project linking residential care centres with primary schools and their local community. And its also about taking a fresh look at dance as an artform with these groups, supported by a local partnership and The Baring Foundation. More Here
