"Cheshire Dance aims to fully awaken the art form of dance as inspiration to create, learn and experience. Working in partnership, Cheshire Dance is committed to increasing access and transforming lives through dance."
We stage weekly dance classes throughout the county. These are for all ages and abilities and are delivered in different dance genres and styles. Something for everyone!
We are passionate about dance for and by young people and about addressing health inequalities through dance.
We support the quality and safety of our work through training and CPD which attracts both dance artists from across the country as well as teachers and youth/care/health workers locally.
We also develop large scale performance projects involving large groups of people with a complete cross section on dance experience.
Cheshire Dance works in partnership. As a registered charity it:-
- receives annual investment from Arts Council England,
Cheshire West and Chester,
Cheshire East and Halton Borough Councils
is a Professional Member of the Foundation for Community Dance
is a member of the National Dance Teachers Association and Dance UK
is a North West Youth Dance partner with Youth Dance England and The Lowry
is a Member of the Consortium for Participatory Arts Learning (C-PAL)
is a recognised deliverer of dance in education and after school by local School Sport Partnerships and the Local Authorities
is an approved centre of accredited dance facilitation for Open College Network
