Interim Chair
After obtaining a degree in Modern History at Southampton University, Gill became a Newsdesk Assistant at The Observer newspaper in London.
She relocated to Manchester to become a Production Assistant at Granada TV, working in the control room on live shows, documentaries and in Continuity on film drama. Ten years later, she joined the storylining team and subsequently, the scriptwriting team.
After obtaining a CTLLs certificate, a passionate believer in the creative benefits of collaborative working, Gill moved into teaching adults, developing, marketing and running several storylining workshops at The People’s History Museum in Manchester, which attracted a diverse and very enthusiastic group of new writers. Gill still mentors some of these writers today.
Keen to spend more time in pursuit of her other enthusiasm, dance, Gill joined the Board of Trustees of Cheshire Dance in 2019.
