UK-Wide
Deadline: September 12th, 2023
Do you create choreography for digital spaces and online audiences?
Do you work with movement styles related to Indian dance forms such as Bharata Natyam, Kathak and Bollywood; or Hip Hop, African dance practices and different forms of street dance; or contemporary dance?
Moving Online: Ontology and Ownership of Internet Dance is an Arts and Humanities Research Council funded project that examines what it is that artists own when they create choreography and share it online. One Dance UK is supporting Hetty Blades, who is running the project. She is based at the Centre for Dance Research (C-DaRE) at Coventry University.
Moving Online is offering three commissions of £7,000 each to UK-based artists working in relation to one or more of the following dance genres: Indian dance forms such as Bharata Natyam, Kathak and Bollywood; Hip Hop, African dance practices and different forms of street dance; or contemporary dance, to develop online dances that will premiere in June 2024.
