Dance is universal. Dance transcends age. Ageless Festival features an eclectic mix of bold new performances, inspirational talks, exhilarating workshops and dance classes.
Alongside national and local contributors we’re delighted to welcome artists from Italy, the Netherlands, Senegal, Romania and Austria.
Headlining the festival is acclaimed choreographer, performer and educator Germaine Acogny, often known as ‘the mother of African dance’. There is a unique chance to hear Germaine in conversation, alongside a screening of the film Iya Tunde, documenting her life as a major figure in dance.
This year’s festival invites us to reimagine age through dance exploring: The Political Act of Dancing, The Art and Act of Remembering, Dancing against the Norm, Boundary Crossing and Intergenerational Practice.
Early bird tickets at a reduced rate are available until the end of May.
