Local MP Stephen O’Brien Joins Movers, Shakers and Players Group at Winsford Library For Cheshire Dance Class
Eddisbury MP and Shadow Health Minister, Stephen O’Brien paid a special visit to Winsford Library on Friday 3rd October, when he joined Cheshire Dance Director, Jacqueline McCormick, Movers, Shakers and Players Group at one of their studio classes to see first hand some of the work they carry out in the community.
Cheshire Dance stages a regular series of dance classes throughout the county. These are for everyone from toddlers to grandparents, in different dance genres and styles. Over two thirds of Cheshire Dance’s activities focus on inclusion and diversity, and all their work has mental and physical health benefits.
Speaking about his visit Winsford MP Stephen O’Brien said: “I was delighted to meet with Cheshire Dance Director, Jacqueline McCormick, Business Director, Adam Holloway, and the parents, carers and toddlers who benefit from this superb dance class at the Winsford Library.
“Cheshire Dance provides an important service in communities across the county and clearly all those taking part in the class I visited were thoroughly enjoying themselves.
“Dancing among groups like Movers, Shakers and Players is great for improving social interaction, creative parenting and helps to promote an enjoyable form of exercise for all age groups.
“Dancing may even become a life long hobby or even a career for some of the toddlers and parents participating in today’s class.
“My congratulations and thanks go to everyone at Cheshire Dance
for their continuing first class work in Winsford and communities across
the county. I shall stay close to Cheshire Dance and do what I can to
secure and build support to sustain its future.”
