Inclusion and Diversity Projects
Our inclusion and diversity projects are about physical, mental and
social wellbeing, about participation and performance, education and
learning. Certain of our successful projects run more than once, whilst
other new projects are always being developed.

Performances
Celebration through performance is an important way groups share their
passion for dance with family, friends and others from the
community.
These take place in local theatres or civic space and also outdoors
as site-specific projects. Events take the form of Showcases
involving a wide range of Cheshire Dance ond other local groups, Days
of Dance which include workshops and training throughout the
day leading to performances in the evening and Sharings
which are a really informal culmination of some of the projects we undertake.
Cheshire East Dance Showcase
During May/June every year, bringing together a wide range of performing groups
from across Cheshire East and a few visiting groups. The Lyceum Theatre, in Crewe is always packed for the two/three
nights of performance. This event is a stage 2 U.Dance performance opportunity for young people.
Stride Dance Showcase with Cheshire West and Chester and the Vale Royal School Sport Partnership. During March every year. Similarly to the Cheshire East Dance Showcase, this event at the Winsford Lifstyle Centre is a stage 2 U.Dance performance opportunity for young people.

The Bridge Programme

live.
"I was pure angry over the weekend, and I took it out on my dance, instead of lashing out at someone or screaming. I was just totally focussed and took it out on the dance, it was brilliant."
"Our funding of this sort of initiative, goes the heart of what a Local Authority is for. I very much doubt whether many of those I saw perform received much in the way of nurture during their childhood years. Our role is to do what nobody else will do - to discriminate positively in favour of the dispossessed and disadvantaged in our communities. "
