  • D.O.P.E through to U:Dance regional platform
D.O.P.E performed brilliantly at The Lowry on Sunday (23rd March) as NorthWest Dance played host to the region's largest youth dance festival.

  • Over two nights, youth dance companies from all over the North West showcased their very best talents in an exhilarating evening of exciting and varied dance. From Contemporary to Break dance, Bharata Natyam to physical theatre, and a fusion of everything in between, there really was something for everyone.

  • Over the weekend the dance companies tok part in a varied programme of workshops at The Lowry, before they donned their costumes ready for the big performance.

  • Congratulations to Youth group members Helena and Alex on being selected to be part of Ludus and YDE's Young Creatives Programme: Young Visionaries.

The young choreographers from across the programme in all four regions (SW,NW,NE, & M) willcome together at The Royal Ballet School in London next Easter as part of a residential programme at their iconic Whit Lodge building in RIchmond Park and will go on to share their work on the stage of the Clore Studio Theatre in the prestigious Royal Opera House.

“Was a fantastic process to be involved with, couldn't have done it without the support offered. The children had a fantastic time preparing and performing and it helped me to develop dance as an aspect of my teaching! Thanks!”
